I’m not sure how rare they are but first one I have seen so I had to have it. Goes nicely with the PH front sight cover.

To fold or to sight? Folding is a 2-stage process. the windage arm folds up, then the entire sight with the folded windage arm unlocks (the big knurled nut) & folds down forwards. The windage arm doesn't "lock" (manually) open but there is a stiff spring loaded detent. The elevator is manually locked "open" but left unlocked when closed, there is spring tension still though. Sighting is done with the 2 knurled knobs. The top one winds the elevator (& windage arm) up & down as a unit. For windage the windage arm is threaded & it is adjusted left<> right with the knurled nut in the middle unscrewing or screwing the end of the arm in or out. Both are click stopped at 1/2 MOA (using the "Enfield Inch") so not a true 1/2 MOA click. There's no "zeroing scale" like the later sights, you just have to note the vernier settings. Elevation is at the front of the elevator with a reference on the frame, windage on the windage arms shaft. |

Really "steampunk" isn't it! I love the thing. ![]() The nice thing is its great for cleaning because you don't have to remove it to pull the bolt like you do with the later sights, you just fold it out of the way. ![]() |

That works for me.
It must be a "rare bird". Does not have even show up on the web.

I switched my AG Parker No9 sight to the 1918 .22 trainer. It is very accurate with this sight. Great fun!
