100% what he said ^^^^^^ They think they are the centre of the universe, no one else matters or is worthy. And when they sell out and move to my wilderness neighbor hood, they become the newbe A-holes. Don`t have a clue how things are done locally. To put it simply, they`ve made life very difficult for us locals to carry on as we have for generations, they just don`t get it.

I do pay for trash pick up and I have one very over size trash can for home use.
From time to time I use a metal 55 gallon metal drum or go to the local town dump. All the used kitty litter my cats use I collect. I take a ride down the road and pour it in the middle road of the down hill side of the road. You see lots of dead yotes on the road. It might be scrap but it is gold to yotes.

Yep!!
What he said!! makes matters worse- they buy property in the north & INSTANTLY go about changing things - like"oh! you can't hunt deer!!Thats cruel! No No no..we must change that. Lets alter the lakeshore. etc etc." When we first got the cabin, I went into the village (Maynooth) & entered the only bar (@ that time) there.(Army, Navy, Airforce club). When I went in-it was like right out of a movie..place went suddenly silent! I went straight to the bar - with every eye on me. Bought a beer, & went to table near the door, asked an ole timer if I could sit there.(He let me) He & I dabbled in a bit of talk til one of the people from cross the room came over & flat out asked me:"Are you from the city?" I said"F#C& NO!! I hate that dump - I'm from Niagara" The old guy turned round & yelled"It's OK - he's one of us!" (Dang if they didn't even buy me a beer!! Got invited to join their moose gang as well. Just gives ya idea how dispised they are...& Toronto school teachers make up the vast majority of summer cottage owners & retirees in the Bancroft area. Their sense of entitlement & opinion is beyond the pale!

Well, this is interesting … I haven’t received notification of any of the response to this post … until today!
Thanks for all the greetings. I see that many fellow Canadians who live in Ontario are just as fed up with the T.0. “elite” as most of us in the rest of Canada, whose lives they feel entitled to control solely by virtue of the number of seats that festering cesspool and surrounding area have in Parliament. Lots of room out west here for “right thinkers” … 😏 … but be careful about relocating to Calgary or Edmonton, which are infested with too many leftists, and were largely to blame for Alberta’s single-term - and disastrous - NDP government. Misguided as they are, they still elect mostly NDP MLA’s … and even the odd Liberal or NDP MP! Sanity prevails pretty much everywhere else in the Province, however. (This message comes to you from my Medicine Hat home of 40+ years, located just under two blocks from Daniele Smith’s Constituency Office.)

Still here in North Carolina in the States. Went to a small local show to day about thirty tables and gave away five dollars to get in, veteran pricing.
Lots of AR15's and over priced ammo. One Enfield No4 for $800.00, no thanks! Go to to Raleigh on the 24th to protest guns laws. I want my children and grandchildren to have more rights than me. Saw a nice pig at the pond after a milked the cow and let the mule out. To far away for a hand gun shot and when I got out a rifle out he was gone. Would have been a easy shoot from the back deck. All for the best as the better half was still sleeping. She hates hearing gun shoots in the morning but she does like free pig.

Well, that would bring the total number of events I’d love to attend in the last two weeks of June up to about six … spread from just a couple of hundred kilometers away to a couple of thousand! At least three of them - ranging from the closest to one of the furthest - are all on the last weekend in June (i.e. just the week after the Fathers Day weekend). If I wasn’t such a broke retired old fart the ND/SD event would tie in nicely with a trip to the GAF National Muster in central Nebraska the following weekend … but I might have survive the intervening week on insects and ditchwater, while sleeping under a tarp in Walmart parking lots, to be able to afford it! 😉

Hoady … a few of my Grand Army of the Frontier iterations … as you might guess, I have made it a habit to represent the British Empire (primarily Canada) amongst all the Americans at these events -
