I’ve already put close to 500 rounds through it without issues except for accuracy. The DP stock was swapped onto it since the original stock was twisted

that swap was probably a good thing , but the stock can affect the accuracy - ill let the more knowledgeable give you the insight to that , there is a reason that stock was relegated to DP status tho

Honestly it never even crossed my mind that the stock itself would be the reason for it being DP. I always assumed it was receiver/barrel issues. IVE been working on getting it bedded so hopefully I can get some improvement out of it.

I doubt an entire rifle would be DP’d just because of a bad/damaged forend. A new foremd would have been fitted. Now, a forend/stock itself might be DP’ed to get fitted to a DP action.  At least that’s what would seem reasonable. The Brits didn’t like to put things to waste.

That makes sense. Why waste good furniture on an inoperable rifle. I just hope it’s better than what I had to start withBig smile
