Long Lee Bolt question

   Hi guys, first post on here so hope this is the right place to be. I've recently acquired myself an 1897 long lee except it has a metford bolt on it. I'm uk based and it's a deac. I can source the back piece of the bolt with the safety catch. if I fitted that to the forward part of an SMLE bolt would it be the same? I hope that makes sense what I mean. Thanks in advance. Chris
P.S if you know of any cleaning rods going for a metford or long lee I might be interested...
