so we had our indian summer - go ahead call me a racist but thats what we called it back when i was a kid , it was the totally out of character week long warm spell way out of norm we got in the exact middle of what should be the coldest period of our winter - sometimes jan sometime feb , but in what we normally experience well below zero temps , ive never understood it - a weatherman might explain it but while the south got freezing temps and ice , while the east coast got lots of snow we had spring weather of near 40 degrees above zero , my snow melted my river is rising with water over the ice ,

i got spoiled , i am ready for spring, but we are going back to below freezing the next couple days will be at freezing or below and going down from there im not going to say im urprised , its happend all too often , im disappointed , im ready for spring , but im a month or two ahead in my thoughts , its not coming till may at best ,
ill live with uit for ow as so far its not brought any measurable snow but that would really make me angry

We often had Indian Summers in Vancouver but that was a return of Summer-like temps in Autumn after it had initially cooled down.

That’s what we called them too, in September/October.

Signs of spring in Georgia.  Red Maples are in bloom, a few others showing blooms. Today is supposed to reach 74 deg.

seems the east coast is getting a lot of events and the bible belt as well , we had our indian summer the last week or so now its getting cold again - actually below normal for the next week , then we are into march and we always get snow then and some crappy weather because the high school trap season starts mid month or so ,

my drive and walks are clean , my decks mostly cl;ean , but i expect that to change , ive washed my car at least five times in the last week and a half as it was well above freezing , probably wont for the next week , but its feb , what do we expect [not what we had the last week and a half]

I hear a Alberta clipper is on the way to hit the North East this weekend or early next week.

Do not put your snow shovel / grain scoop away just yet.

This is no joke.

yup they been getting a lot lately , i found it humorous that the NYC Mayor wanted 5 forms of ID to join his shoveling crew but - nobody needs one to vote , that needs to change the latter not the former
