   My family was "comfortable" growing up.
But they still instilled in me the need to value money.
I never ever got "pocket money".
I did get "tips for doing things around the house & elsewhere" instead.

Taking the 2 honking great 90Volt batteries to the local newsagent, who had a charging station for exchange for charged ones, was one. It was understood that if I was going there for comic books anyway I might as well take the batteries for swapping. It was also understood that no change was expected from the charging fees (rounded up to a currency) was required.

When I got a newspaper route I rode it on a bicycle I bought from god knows where & "overhauled"
I paid for it with the newspaper route earnings for several weeks.
I also learned how to dismantle, repair & rebuild the hubgears for it.

	The biggest achievement of the left (the only one?) has been to convince a lot of people that they are the good guys and that the "right" is racist, immoral, homophobe, bigots, etc. Of course as soon as you look a little bit deeper into it, it all falls apart. The Democratic party did side with slave holders, did create the KKK. The Tern "NAZI" literally means "National Socialist German Worker's Party." Yes, dare I say "we" are the bad guys... Most of my friends lean to the right, and I don't know even one to be racist. If they were they wouldn't be my friends... As to the LGBT+whatever community... They went from being largely ignored to be hated. Not because of their sexuality, but because they started pushing their ideology to everyone, in all media, TV, social media, all day, every day, especially to kids, and people have had enough. They have been manipulated by external agents... Colleges have been infiltrated, all layers of government and society. It will take a lot of time and effort to undo all that brainwashing, if it is even possible... Gil.
