serial #'s on magazines

   I bin wonderin - off & on - why some Enfields(usually later models) have serial numbers stamped in the magazine as well as everywhere else.Older models didn't.

 Anyone got the skinny on that?

	I'm not sure. There is a large increase in what they sell for though. My #5 has the mag with the # on it. One thing for sure, Enfield liked to stamp parts.
