Hi everyone! I didn't know where else to post this message so here goes. I have 240 lbs. of lead shot with antimony mixed in. Has anybody here ever used such lead shot to cast their own .303 bullets?

Hi Canuck, I have used hard shot (#7 1/2, I believe), mixed with range lead & old wheel weights. My mold of choice is an Accurate Molds 31-134D. I run this bullet with 9 grs. of Unique in assorted .303 brass and primers in both my No4 and No5 at about 1400 fps IIRC. Good all around plinking and small critter getter. So, in answer to your question, yes, it should be just fine.

You might want to add some tin, that will improve the quality of the cast bullets, perhaps up to 5% by weight.

ive melted reclaimed lead shot and reloaded it too , im rather fond of the stuff - it has a lot of crap in it but for the shotshe!!s ive oaded with it its great - functions just fine - actually for my use exceptional , ive also melted it down to cast bullets - needs a bit of attention in the process but it makes great cast bullets , we cast both 452 , 200grn , 45s and 138grn  , 38spcl , its no worse than working with any reclaimed lead - cl4eaner than some

I'd probably dilute it with bout 50% of pure, soft lead & as suggested a little tin.
Perfectly usable though just needs a bit of adjustment.
