Good stuff mate, what did you get yourself?
But the winters coming,

And the snow will cover tracks,

And I'll be watching,

Because I'm hunting you

Good to be back, Im givin the mosin nagants a break to catch up with the enfields. That one No.4 is pretty lonely in the safe with 7 mosin nagants ganging up on it all the time, so i figure add a No.1Mk3 and see what happens. Id like to get a new K31 but them are going for 200 now and i cant save up that much in a short ammount of time, plus i already got one.

Has anyone else gotten a No1 mk3 from J&G sales yet? If so, how are they?

Where did you get the sniper from? Rguns has them for 800 dollars which is a fairly good price for them, still pretty high but a fair price.

I have an EX-Sniper which is one of my favourite mosin's, when i first got it i could not get the bolt to lock all the way down so i could not shoot it for about 6 months and the stock it was in was a little bit big for it so it wobbled in the stock. Something happened to it and now it will chamber perfectly fine and i cut up an old playing card and put the cut pieces under the rear tang and the recoil lug and it tightened right up! Now its one of my sharpest shooting Mosins and i love it! Gonna take it out whitetail hunting next season.

Target ...

I spoke to the J&G guys here at the Phoenix Crossroads show on the 24th. They had #1 MkIIIs on hand. The display one was pretty dirty. I asked if they were all that 'bad' and they said 'pretty much so'.
But .... at $99 probably worth the risk. They are all Ishapore now. The British ones are gone. Ishapores could be as late as 1963 (?). It'd be interesting to get a fairly late one.
All told I looked at, maybe, 25 Enfields at that show. Next one is in April. I'll try to be patient. If J&G were closer than Prescott I'd probably wear out my welcome there!

I seen one on another board that a guy cleaned up real well, Just did the wood with some sort of grease remover and cleaned up the active rust on it and it looks real good so far.

Maybe if i get the cash saved up Ill buy one of them Ishapore no1 mk3s
