Must have been fired with an obstruction, barrel was slightly swollen, but just enough to cause accuracy issues, so off it went. Draw filed the new muzzle and crowned with ball bearing and valve grinding compound. Shooting better now!Clap

I have a No. 4 early Long Branch with a good bore, but worn bad from cleaning chord wear at the muzzle. I used a muzzle crowning carbide cutter to cut the muzzle back by about 0.04.   Did the trick.  The cutter is held square to the bore with an expanding pilot inserted down the bore.  Made by Manson Reamers.
