My home-made version! Works perfectly and adjustment per turn can be easily calculated.

That's similar to the one I'm buying.
The originals have become expensive collectables & I need a functioning tool for intermittent use.

My only concern is the alloy body of it. I'm a bit nervous about the strength of the threads in alloy instead of steel. This blade base is really STUCK! I'll grease the threads thoroughly first to reduce friction & have at it.

I received a P-H one from a local source here in MD.
In "Rick's Voice" from "Pawn Stars":
"Best I can do is a Parker-Hale"!Big smile

The thing is a tank!
The front sight dovetail is definitely "handed" I can't speak for U.K. manufactured ones, but this Aussie made "Lithgow" (actually Orange Arsenal) one definitely is! I reversed the pushing for Left to Right & Voila! Sorted!
My thanks for everyone who saved me from my own issues. & to Digger & Mawkie from MD shooters.
My Lithy with the big rear sight is sorted, just need to be re-zeroed, & as soon as the other SMLE comes back from the .22 conversion I'll be fitting a Globe sight to that bad boy too!
Seriously, Thanks guys!

Its a seriously nice sight cramp, but its "jaws" aren't quite wide enough to start to fully extract a blade. Perfectly adequate for any kind of reasonable zeroing though.

& as Inspector Clouseau of the Sûreté would say:
"And ze problem is sol-ved"!
I have been told its probably an 03A3 blade? it raised the LOS 34 (1/2 MOA) clicks to allow the bolt handle to clear the 0.92" dia of the Gehmann iris/diopter sight! The dovetail is slightly smaller so I fabricated a pair of tiny shims to secure it & its also staked in place as you can see.
