I finally got to pick up my sported .303 this weekend, looks great. It is a Nr 4 Mk1.
I had my smith use the ATI stock and base, and I think the Elite 3200 will hold up well. I have some Federal Power Shok 150 & 180 grain, and Remington Core Lokt 180 grainers, plus the smith worked me up some loads, and finally a box of 174 grain UMC to play with. I just finished an 800 mile drive, so I will wait until next Saturday to test it out. Plus I need to give the Dura-Coat more time to harden.  |

Nice outfit. I like 38-39 grains of Varget behind a 180 grain. On word of caution the UMC is loaded with boatails some Enfields really don't shoot them well.

I did the 2 I re serviced with Dura coat ...100+ rounds through the sporter that My Daughter took from Me and it is holding up well ...My Son took the one I brought back to mil-spec....
The Mil-Spec has had about 30 rounds put through it ...My Son is working nights and sleeps most of the day ..so He has not had the time to shoot lately ..... My Daughter on the other hand ..will shoot all day if Daddy supplies the ammo !!!LOL!!! |

Does anyone know where one might seek .303 hunting ammo?
I already checked: Midway, Natchez, Cabela's, Bass Pro, Sportsman's Guide, Dicks, Dunhams. Sportsman's Warehouse. All the above have one and two selections, if they even have .303, but once I find that magic bullet I will buy bulk. |

I don't know if there's such things as Fleet Farm Supply in Kentucky, but it's where I can usually find 303 hunting ammo. Try skipping the big places and ask some of local hardware stores, they might suprise you.

Try "ammotogo" they usually have Prvi Partizan which is good quality 150 Gr softpoint ammo.
