he!!o all, I am in need of some help and opinions on scope mounting for my No.4. The rear sight has been ground down and I am wanting to mount a scope on her. Obviously I'm going to have to drill for a mount. But that's fine this has already been butchered. I have found 1 from Adley precision that will work. Looking to see if any others are out there, or what options I can gather.

I have several Addleys. Good product but I suggest using a cheek piece for eye/scope weld. You can get strap on ones.

Listen to Honkytonk about buying an Addley Precision non-gunsmithing scope mount for your rifle. I put one on a No.4 and a No.1 mount on a 2A and they are well made precision mounts. I had to alter the No. 1 mount to fit the 2A but no alterations were needed to be made to the rifle.

I can attest to the Addley mounting system. I`ve used them as well on a few of my Enfields. Best Enfield invention since sliced bread. And yes, you may need to raise your check a bit to get good eye-scope alignment. Don`t know about strap-ons though...

Probably should have clarified... strap-on cheek piece. Not an issue with mine because one is in a sporter with a Monte Carlo stock and a couple have the No.4 aftermarket walnut ones. But as I'm sure many members have learned the hard way as I did, these rifles scoped without one can give you a nasty ring eye!

![]() ![]() ![]() Here are some pics of the Addley Precision mount: on the No.4 it was an easy fit and with the vintage Weaver K4 I can still compete in some service rifle matches. The 2A sports a Redfield 'Widefield' 1 3/4 to 5 power scope. I get a chuckle when the young'uns start crowing about how LVPO's are the "latest and greatest!". Son, we were using LVPO's a looong time ago!![]() |

I'm using the BadAce Tactical mount for my No4Mk2. Seems pretty solid but i have yet to zero my scope. I can give a review in a couple weeks when I can get to the range.
