Me and buddy got permission on a big cattle ranch to hunt coyotes. It's along a river, big open field surrounded by scrub, then up a decent Hill to the feed lot. We set a old white tea towel on a stick in the middle of the field, as it was just windy enough to make it flutter. Then sat on the hill about 175 yds away. Buddy proceeded to use his new wounded rabbit call. Within 10 minutes we had five coyotes enter the field. I got one and buddy did also. I was using my No4 Sporter with a 3x9 and 150 PPU FMJBT's. Nice small hole in... could put a canned ham in the exit. Ooops!

Yup. PPU 150 gr FMJ boat tails. In my neck of the woods, we can use FMJ for varmints (fox, coyote, etc) pretty much anything but big game. I was a little surprised how much they opened up. Pretty much equal to a regular 150 gr ProHunter.

Honks,
Yes, I've opened up coyotes nearly full length with FMJ. They seem to tumble on impact and tear a terrible hole at times!
