During the winter months, I spend quite a bit of time in the Man-Cave reloading, watching old war movies or documentaries, and what I call Enfield bonding. I usually take one of my Enfields out of the safe and give it that extra TLC I never seem to have time for in the summer. Extra cleaning, polishing, etc. I had my No5 on the gun vise yesterday. Admittedly, I'm biased, but I honestly think it is the best looking military carbine of all time. In my opinion, while I'm sure it was designed for function, it ended up being a really nice looking rifle. Second on my list would be the US M1 Carbine. I'd be curious to hear others favourite military carbines!

I love my "Goobermint Model Sporter". If there was such a thing legally as a truck gun this would be it! The other alternative would be my "Street Legal" Ruger 10-22, yes, thats a real, working MD legal "Banana clip magazine"! |

Mine would be the early LEC`s and Martini Enfield .303`s Next would be the M1 as well. Since I don`t own either as of yet and once owned a nice m1(regrets on letting that one go) I`ll settle for now with my No3 Ruger .223, great little bush/varmet gun. Love to find one of these in 45/70, but they`re getting pricey. My latest carbine is a Norinco jw25a, cool little plinker.

Hmmm, tough choice!
Probably the LEC 88, otherwise known as the NZ carbine. Just perfectly balanced at the trail carry. Points like a BB gun.
