Preface: Yes,it is balancing on a deep well socket.
The head space is phenomenal with a #1 bolt head in place.  The bolt itself has been fitted accordingly with the locking lugs having equal contact on both sides. I set back the crown just in case the rifle is ever dropped barrel first. You never know. I fired a blank in it and measured the firing pin protrusion.  It is at .0042". Good enough for me. Another Enfield brought back from the dead wearing sporterized clothing...Hug

Great job! Now I have a new appreciation for those plastic gun stocks on a sporting rifle. I wonder if the draws touch the lugs in those crucial places? I built a similar rifle for a friend using a #4/MK2 action but the draws weren't anywhere near the metal lugs....maybe his was just like that, might not all be. His still shot fine but the two-stage trigger stopped being a 2-stage due to the angle of the trigger guard so I made another king screw collar that was longer to compensate for that but the trigger guard stood 'proud' of the fore end.

This particular ATI stock fits perfectly around the action and makes contact exactly where it should just like its military counterparts.  The barrel however does need to be bedded accordingly.  I can slip a piece of paper all the way down to the action.

That's how they should be, just the first 1" or so contacting the bottom 3rd on center.
