I was looking through one of my books on the Lee Enfield and I came to the chapter about the T rifles. The picture from top to bottom shows your normal T rifle, then a Canadian T rifle with a fancy comb over stock, and then the venerable L42A1.  The stock on the Long  Branch looks very similar in design to a Fagen stock and I happen to have a Fagen stock that was, until this morning, sitting in a five gallon bucket in my storage unit. A couple of hours of sanding and smoothing and then giving it a coat or two of MinWax Gunstock stain, changing out the PH5C for the S&K no drill no tap mount, adding a CCOP 6-24×50 Eagle Shot scope and Bob's your Uncle. I have this particular Long Branch rifle designated as my Testing/Target rifle since it has the NOS unissued barrel installed so might as well have fun with it...
