When I came to the U.S. First my buddy Steve in Indiana had one. When he heard I was in Cleveland he got the weekend off & drove up to collect me so I wouldn't think all of America looked like Cleveland!
I drove us back most of the way on the Ohio Pike.
That lil devil would not stay under about 85!
Suspension was like a feather pillow though!

When I was 23 I got to work on a 429 (Shelby) Mustang; this was in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It was a cool car, but the brakes and tyres can't keep up with that motor.  When you drove it, you'd have to back off the throttle to start moving forwards; if not the tyres would just spin up! I had fun testing it though!
In fact those were fun times, I was working for the Rolls-Royce and Lamborghini agent. But clients would bring their other cars in if they we're happy with what you'd done on the Rolls Royce.
We had the first 4x4 Lamborghini LM002 's ; they were monster's. The factory engineers were testing them in the desert. This was 1987-88.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!

A long time ago my sister's boyfriend bought a two year old Chevelle SS with a 454 and four speed manual. With bias play tires, first gear was pretty much useless. Had to start out in second or it would spin!

A kid I grew up with had a Maroon colored 1967 Mustang coupe. The 289 ended up getting a Holley 660 cfm center squirter, 1:6 ratio Comp rocker arms, Comp 292H cam,Howard's forged flat top .030 over pistons,Doug Thorley Tri-Y headers,Rattler fluid damper for the crankshaft, and a Vertec magneto distributor. He hit a brick wall with it the following weekend and totalled it...
