I decided to see if I could make my own no go gauge today using a spare grade 5 bolt I had laying around, and using my Harbor Freight mini lathe to make a tool using a tool. I successfully made one. The first picture shows what the bolt looked like before I made it into the no go gauge.  It works and it works well. Not too shabby for home grown...Hug...

Hind sight is 20/20. I have the Forster and 54R coin and I'm standing in front of the lathe the other day and it hits me. Make your own instead of looking for the original ones which probably cost an arm and a leg...

Did you make an extractor cut & a firing pin hole?
If not you should consider it. Otherwise you'll need to strip the striker & extractor before using!

Well done. Making seen a friends gauges with a chip out of it think hard about what Shamu said about. 
It's always good to see folks making their own stuff.
