I decided to see if I could make my own no go gauge today using a spare grade 5 bolt I had laying around, and using my Harbor Freight mini lathe to make a tool using a tool. I successfully made one. The first picture shows what the bolt looked like before I made it into the no go gauge. It works and it works well. Not too shabby for home grown......

Hind sight is 20/20. I have the Forster and 54R coin and I'm standing in front of the lathe the other day and it hits me. Make your own instead of looking for the original ones which probably cost an arm and a leg...

You know that could be reproduced over and over again! I think quite a few owners on this site would like one for themselves! Good job, Goosic!

Well done! Did you make an extractor cut & a firing pin hole? If not you should consider it. Otherwise you'll need to strip the striker & extractor before using!
