Hey,

Another NC collector has offer me MLE No 1 bolt and No1 Mk3 mag.

The bolt has a serial number of 16577 and has some surface rust. No dust cover. The bolt is complete with a good firing pin.

The mag has numbers of 89895M and number 75365Y. Some surface surface rust but is complete.

What to do.

Any thing special about these parts?

Any idea on value?

I do not a Medford at this time and can always use another mag.

Help!

Paddy

I will guess that the bolt is from an MLE Mk.I? Does it have a safety catch mounted on the cocking piece?

I am curious cos there is no such thing as an MLE No.1. Just symantics, I know, but it does make a difference when referring to a particular model of Lee.

Is it an MLE bolt? or a no.1 bolt?

The mag, is it taken from the same rifle?

Pics?

The bolt does have a safety on the docking pieces.

The mag is not from the same gun as the bolt.

The seller is a old time gun person. Just odd parts in his collection. I do not know what happened to the guns.

Yup, sounds like it is a Magazine Lee Metford Mk.II* or a Magazine Lee Enfield Mk.I bolt.

When ever you get a chance, pics will get you a positive ID on them.
Pics of the numbers and markings will get you a maker and date.

Ballpark. The bolt in Ontario might be worth $75, mag $50.

Hey, be careful, I'me an old time gun person too!! Big smile
