^^^ This.
I was pleasantly surprised when IMR 3031 metered smoothly & consistently through my Dillon meters because they are "notorious foe being inaccurate" in them!
I just switched to IMR 4895, mainly because it's one powder, (that's available this week) that seems to love both .303 Brit & 7.62 NATOConfused

Ok I took her out yesterday morning weather around 30 degrees and no wind
100 yards
174 grain bullets
PPU brass
Winchester 748 powder 37 grains

First one lower left and as I shot she climbed up
I think she can shoot better than I can I need to practice with her more I had a watershed moment after shooting these 9 rounds I think I have a very good understanding now on the 32 rifle scope they have that unique aperture that the horizontal line is  lower than the tip well after focusing on the tip of the scope I started shooting some tin cans and if I focus on that tip it hits it every time.

I would like to solicit advice into sending it in for cleaning (internally)

Would it hurt the collector value or is there anyone who has the skills to do it ?

Some screws on the stock are a little loose so I tightened them up a little pretty concerned on damaging the stock so I maybe a little more on the loose side these were mainly the bands on the hand guard.
The buttstock feels tight but how would I check that ?

If I find some Varget I will update the that powder

Overall I am pretty happy with her .
Thank you all for the advice
Jeff.

Jeff,

Your point of aim should be the very top of the vertical “post”, which is pointed in shape.  The horizontal line is intended to give you a reference to ensure you are not canting the rifle.

Make sure that front trigger guard screw is tight, use a torque wrench if you’re worried about over torquing it.  IIRC, I use 45 inlbs.  You risk damaging the stock if the screws are not tight.

Not sure what you mean by “internally” cleaning the rifle. It’s not difficult to disassemble, but not likely necessary anyway.  Should be sufficient to clean the bore, chamber and bolt head after shooting.  Just make sure you use a rod guide and clean from the breech end, not the muzzle end. Use a chamber brush wrapped in a patch.

Not sure about the No32 scope, but I have a few scopes with the same reticles and I`ve found the tip should be were the scope is zero`d and if you aim using the cross hairs that`l add around 100yrds.
My Pecar scope is zero`s at 50 yrds, and the cross hair puts me on target at 100 yrds, this is for one of my .22 target rifles.

I wouldn`t think having your scope sent in for service would hurts its value, but I don`t know where you would send it, maybe someone here will advise.
Keep all the stock screws fairly tight not enough to strip the threads but tight. If the butt stock is not loose or wiggly, then its good.
Cheers

Ahhh, he was referring to cleaning the scope. Not sure I would risk that, don’t think Peter Laidler is around to do this.

Geoff:
My watershed moment was figuring out the Tip of the post.

My son has a small inch pound torque wrench I will tighten it up to 45 inch pounds

Thank you Richard
Yes it looks like it could use a good cleaning on its inside and clean the inside lenses however I have no idea on who to send it to, And more importantly I don’t want to do anything that would damage or hurt it’s value.
At this point I can live with it as she is

I really appreciate all the advice that this forum has posted to help me with this Rifle .

Was there not a fellow who restores old Weaver scopes?, i wonder if he works on old war horses.
Maybe do a google search and see what comes up.

I see no issue having a scope serviced and cleaned. However, I would want to make damn sure who ever was doing it was king at his trade with a triple A reputation!

Here's a thought... if funds allow, purchase a repo Mk32 scope for range/hunting and keep the original. If be worried aboot someone working on it, but that's just me.
