he!!o!

While I've had any number of Enfields through my books as a FFL/SOT, I never kept one for myself.  Then yesterday I received a drill rifle from J&G Sales through my C&R.  I intend to modify this rifle into a copy of the De Lisle.  But before I do anything, I am here to learn more about the rifle.

I went up to J&G a few months back to check on some DP'd No1Mk111 rifles they had advertised.  It was basically a crate of rust with bits of splintered wood tossed in. The one No4Mk1 they had was in fair condition but the $955.00 sale tag left little to desire. Tried to work the price down but the kid behind the counter was absolutely adamant that what I was looking at was the extremely rare Lee Enfield sniper rifle even though it did not have the scope, scope mount, or scope pads or any T, TR, or S stamps from Holland and Holland anywhere on the rifle.
Howdy from Phoenix Arizona!

Thank you, everybody!

I have no idea who my small Ls show as exclamation points.  Way to look like a bot!

Goosic, I used to live in Gold Canyon AZ.  J&G is totally hit and miss; they either have amazing or awful deals.  At least they don't give folks with C&Rs difficulties like many other distributor-dealers.

I'll post about the process once it begins.  But for now, I need to learn the basics.

Its a glitch in the parser for "naughty words" even if they aren't. You write  "introduction word",  I'm new here, let me introduce myself". , but detects "Hades" inside it & flags the LL. For example. Then it becomes He(LL)o but blocked to He!!o.

Thank you for the clarification!  I spent a good half hour trying to figure out why my typing was all screwed up, if I was doing something wrong, etc.

Welcome from Alberta, Canada.
The Lee Enfield is to the Canadian north what the Winchester repeater was to the American west.   Cal Bablitz
