Any thing marked on the blade or hilt? Maybe under scales/wood grips? Broad arrow is obviously the UK, G2 ?, 5 over what appears to be a B or and R ? Not much to go on as to who made it without a makers mark. War time codes would be S294 for Wilkinson, N79 Viners, N187 Radcliffe, M78 Elkington, Stirling inside a rectangle Stirling, RFI India or P in a circle for Poole. If you find any of these, then you`ll know who made it. |

sorry those dont help a lot - nearly every blade was marked on the blade near the hilt , ill guess its a poole because they made most but i cant give you a good read n that - the markings you show are all use marks , i cant see them clearly enough to add more ,
the RFI blades are very clearly marked , the poole marked blades are less clear as its a P in a circle , they are marked on the blade right below the hilt , ill look for a photo but doubt i still have it with all the photobucket losses over the years , mine has been gone for years now

Thanks a lot, you were right. There is a tiny P marking on the blade right below the hilt - it was dirty so i could not see it.
Thank you

P in a circle is Poole - appears that there is a date also there of 1946 - these were made after WW2 - well all that I have seen were
