There are several of these brass looking rods that just nicely fit into a LE barrel. They have date stamps ranging from 1938-1944. One end is flat the other end has the loop. Armorers’ tools? Cleaning rods?

Line throwing rods for Navy use.

Nice. Looks like it has some kind of pistol grip on it?

I need to get me one of these rods for my display. Very cool.

they are cool , ive never come across one in my searches , but then i was never looking for one as i didnt know what they looked like - i had always expected them to be steel and a dimple loop on the end
