Behold the book that got me started on Enfields.  With out giving away too much of the plot, Storm Child chronicles a man's journey to the tip of of South America to rescue his daughter from para-militant rebals.  He sets sail on an ocean going yacht with little more then two Enfield Mk1's his girl friend and his brother.  The book is set in the early ninties.  The book is rather slow in the begining but heats up about half way through.  Sorry guys I can't find the author or anything as it was a book I read in H.S. I wish I could though as it is bugging the HE** out of me and I can't find anything on the web.
I've seen the future and I don't like it.

May I suggest .Any of the Books by WDM BELL ? He was a Ivory hunter during the early part of last century. By todays standards the Tree huggers would of hung him (he accounted for over a 1000 elephants ) But gives a real insight to the abilities of the .303 round

Your no Orphan when it comes to getting date's & centuries mixed up ! I'm always getting into strife by just mentioning the decade, not the Century ! AS for catching up with the times ? I'm also always in strife with fellow Pro shooters ! For the Fact that I still use a 25-303 as a Roo rifle & a .303 Brit as my camel rifle  AS I always point out to them ......If it aint broke ,why try & fix it ?

G,day mates,   yeh, W.D.M.BELL Karamojo(A)   his stories are wot got me on the game trailsalmost 50 years ago.a single shot.22 at 10 years old. could you imagine that today.Bell headed to mombasa (Kenya) with nothing more than a single shot.303 and ammo,.nothing more was deemed necessary. he was not quite 17. his second trip lasted many years and his original battery consisted of a pair of customized .303s.   between his first two safaries, he managed to come to canada and was a meat hunter during the gold rush in the yukon.joined the canadian army(BRITISH) and foght in the Boar war.was captured, escaped, finished the war as an army scout, then became a guard for the uganda raikway (the man eating lions of tsavo )fame  movie,The Eyes in the Darkness.he kept the workers and mules safe from lions and other beasties.   read anything you can about BELL.a mans man.   POPS   (Glenn)
