Has anyone tried or even seen the #4T mounts and pads advertised by Numrich or Sarco?
I've had a #1 MkIII* for a long time, if these new mounts are any good, it would make me finally want to get a #4 to try them out on.....I think they are 1" rings so any common scope should work.

www.e-gunparts.com
search under SMLE then sights, scopes, and mounts
They are priced at $130 for the mount and $42 for the pads. They look good, and I've had good luck with getting parts from them before. Maybe I should snap up a set in anticipation of getting a good rifle.....

I was under the assumption that the recievers of standard #4 and #4(T) were the same?

The pads are fitted to the receiver then the mount to the pads. Very involved process and takes special tools to get everything lined up so the mount collimates to the bore when removed and installed and is centered over the bore by the pads. On the No4T's the receiver is milled under the front pad. The reason it took special tools was so that you had the complete deflection of windage and elevation of the No32 scopes.
If using a modern scope should be less complicated process.
