The M-1  is just an M-1 made by Inland Mfg. Div. General Motors
The colt is a navy, I need to get a new sear spring for it i went to shoot it one dar
and the cylinder would not advance fully so after taking it apart I found the sear spring broke in 3 peices. I looked the part up awhile back but have not orderd it yet
as for casting my own projectiles not yet. but i have been saving lead for when i get around to it. I still need to learn a bit about casting my own Bullets. from what i have read on the subject  I realize that there is more to it than just melting some lead down and pouring it into a mould. One of the o'le boys i used to work with told me how he leaded up his barrle with to soft lead ingot that he had got hold of when he first started making his own bullets.
So far i have bought my projectiles from some type of brand name like Hornandy Lee or some other .
the last bullets that i loaded were for the .38 special,my Son and i got out in the Barn
and made a day of it. My Son likes to operate the press to seat the bullets. but he realy like to go shoot after. Right now i'm waighting on some 7.62x38r Rounds
for the Russian Nagant Pistoles. I'm going to have to get a set of dies for it, the rounds cost @ $22.50 a box of 50 . as for the Enfields I found some old millitary
surpluse but its corrosive, it runs $61.97 for 400 rnds inammo can its 174 gr.
sold by Shooters its at  www.sportsmansguide.com  they also have some stocks for the SMLE No. 4MK 1 Buttstock and forarm set. hey i just found some mags.
on the same page for $24.95  and they are original. well thats a lot cheaper than the others that i have found. well let me go i've got some things to do before my Wife gets home from work. so happy shooting.

If your gonna cast ur own balls - DON't use alloyed lead!
I cast .577.Got a Lee mold & smelter. If your buddy lead fouled, he probably didn't clean it properly. You know how dirty black powder shoots - thats the pain of it all, 30 minutes cleaning for 3 shots! What grade powder? I use FFF.
If your lookin for good quality sear, theres a few places stateside I can recommend.
Did you get your Navy Colt through mail order ? Theres an outfit that sells all kinds of blk powder arms & dammit, the name escapes me right now - but they are notorious for cheap parts & quality.Especially on sears! They sell alot of Hawkins - but the rifling aint there.Years ago a bud bought a Springfield 3 band from them. Not only did the sear break on first cock - but the rifle was TOO SHORT ! He contacted the company, but to no avail. we got new sears, but ya couldn't fix the barrel! Terrible shooter, too.Wish I could remember the name, Dam it!It was on the tip of my tongue when I started this!I'd know it if I hear it again.

Have no idea what &nbs p it just came up when i started this forum,
I'm computer illiterate. well the wife worked me hard this weekend but other
than the deer fly bites im ok mayby i earned a few brownie points.
I sure wish i could get out and plink a few but the deer flies are terrible right
now, this time of year. so i will have to waight awhile. let them die off. they tear me up while im shooting. I'm tired of going to work with something swollen. So while i have time i'm looking for Gun deals
(Rifle deals) and ammo so far nothing to speak of, three ammo inquiries and no ammo, they say check back next week. thats what they said last week. oh well all
you can do is keep calling.
I have a Gator in my pond went out last night on yard patrole checked the pond and there was a gator I counted about 10 or 11 big bull frogs so he probably is not very hungry. going to have to get my buddy over so we can run him out, hopefully he will eat a few of the ducks. well let get gone.

Ever try a beekeeper's net.I gotta use 'em @ my cabin. This time of year I got Black Flies, Deer Flies & Horse Flies..& just to add to the misery - the skeeters are about ready. You can wear mesh net clothes, but collectivley they'llpick you up and take you back to they're young !

I had thought about some sort of netting but it was for fishing and hunting, yep the mosqitos are bad down here all year unless we have a cold snap. useualy a day or so in the 40s, sometimes even low enough to freeze but it does not last long.
You should hear the skeeters in the woods beside my house, you can hear the low hum there are so many. Long as you stay in the open your allright but dont throw nothing into the woods for the dog to fetch or he will bring back a swarm.
Well my daughter needs the horse trailer so i need to get my wifes uncles stuff out of it, i was hopeing he would have been moved down by now. but i guess i'll have to move it twice.
Talk to ya latter.

I'm in South Louisianna, in between Thibadeaux and Napoleonville by the end of Lake Verret, in a little settlement called Lower Texas. I have @ 18 acres +or-
Thats why i have a gator in my pond along with the Bull Frogs, I want the frogs
but the gator has to go.
I found this place about10 years ago, told the Wife when we came out hear to look at the place, I have to buy this place! so i quit my job at the shipyard and went
back on the road for General Electric Power Generation. that was the only way to get the money for the down payment. the wages at the time were not enough to work local in a Fab Yard or Ship Yard. enough about work!
So what part of canada do you live in?

Well soon as my son gets back home today, we are going to set up the shooting table pull out a few rifles and maybe a couple of pistoles and get some shooting
time in. The Enfields will be the first out on my range. I had a friend test the two I cleaned up so far, he didnt get hurt and the rifles didnt blow up, i let him fire the 174 gr. I have one box of the Remingto UMC 174gr. and 2 boxes of Wolf Gold 150gr. can't wait to see which is better for each Rifle. I never did get to order any mil.surp.rounds yet. actually the price differranc is not that great so it probably doesnt matter much.

Boogie likes the No# 4 MK1 , I personaly prefer the the one that has the yellow paint
on the muzzel. i dont like the pep sights on the No# 4 MK1 .
But the .303 has got some power, it penatrated @ 3/16 to 1/4 inch into my plate steel
pigs the .30/.30 just splaters we also shot one of my mausers the 38 turkish.
