First I want to say hi to you all,and I think this is a awesome site. I have a sport British 303 that I bought in 88 or 89 to deer hunt.I haven't thought much about it history till lately. All the numbers match on all the parts. It is a No 4 MKJ made in 1944.Have pic of some of the numbers but some are too shinny in the pics and others are hard to read.there are not many markings on the gun and none like I have seen on any of the other lee sites. There is a "BL" and the numbers 11297.I love this gun and would like to know more about it if possable.

Hi itty and welcome to the board! It's a Maltby, from England and
originally was probably issued to British troops. Where it's been since
then is hard to tell.
Some of these have been to India, Turkey, Egypt, Greece and who knows where else. Is it a 2 groove barrel? I have a '42 Maltby, and it's a great shooter. Ed |
