First off, I don't reload, and don't really care to learn.

I normally use a .308 (sported Mauser) as my work horse, (I gave my .30-06 to a nephew who badly need a good deer rifle), since the modern .308 factory ammo pretty much made them even for deer.

Where does the .303 fit in with medium and large game?  What is my North American animal hunting limit for game, with let's say a 180 grain bullet?

I am always looking to hunt anything and take every invitation I can get (hint-hint), and although I haven't been drawn yet for Elk (cursed I think), I want to go for bear next year.  And I am also seeking farmers who need wild hogs eliminated.

I have taken moose and deer with my jungle carbine, elk can be taken with the 303 as well.
Hogs shouldn't be a problem for the 303 either and they are tastier than bears.

Aside Grizzly or Alaskan Brown Bear (and the 303 would be much better than a big stick in a fight with one of them) the 303 British can deal with anything in North America.
Have a Nice Day
If already having a nice day please disregard

Yep, anything on the continent up to & including moose.
