he!!o, I am new to the forums and have a question about my new Enfield SMLE that I got on friday.
My Enfield No1 Mk3 has the magazine cut off, but I can't figure out how to disengage it I guess you could say. I had done it yesterday but forgot how I had got around it. Right now, my magazine cut off is in "single shot mode" and I can't pull it out all the way so it can feed all of the rounds. I know somewhat what I did, so this may help: I pulled the bolt back to the rear, then I switched the safety lever backwards into the position in which you wouldn't be able to cycle the action, and then I pulled the magazine cut off out all of the way. I've tried to do this again but it won't work. Please help. |

Push down on it with your thumb and flick it out.

as stated above pull the knob and push down slightly with the thumb through the charging area , it has a catch to prevent it falling open , sometimes they can be a tad bit stiff

Only time I had a problem with my cut off was when I tried a different magazine and the relief cut for the cut off wasn't deep enough so it bound up till I pushed in the mag release and wiggled the mag, then after I got the cut off pulled out I was able to dump that magazine.
I still have that magazine, I need to examine it more closely. The original numbered magazine works fine with the cut off.
