Always looking for military manuals, Dodge M37 items,books on Berlin Germany, old atlases ( before 1946) , military maps of Scotland. English and Canadian gun parts.

if im seeing correctly its a styer ? there are good enough records to place an individual rifle on the location that christmas ? how cool is that ???

Thats a nice piece of history!; but I thought the Christmas truce and football was 1914, (99years ago) after then it all got too messy!
Next year you should take it out and shoot it on Christmas day, as a century celebration!
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!

That is a thought shooting it on Christmas day. It has the markings of the 40th Reserve Infrantry Regiment they were on the Western Front and still had Gew 1888/05s in 1914.
