You have a #4 rifle that was made in 1942 and imported from the UK by Century Arms. I'm sure somebody more knowledgeable will be along shortly to fill in more gaps.
It'd be nice to see a full length pic of the rifle.

want to see more of the rifle , it looks like a malyby but i need to see the bolt markings etc , to try to confirm ,

I agree it does seem a Maltby but there is not enough info to determine conclusively. Are there any markings on the left side of the receiver? Also, what markings are on the bolt? Finally, the second character in the serial is not clear to me. Is that a 1 or a letter? If it is a 1 then that would also indicate a Maltby as some with a J letter prefix have been noted.
