Some time ago, I acquired a No. 1 MK V which has had its bayonet stud modified to use the Japanese Arisaka bayonet. It was one of five similar rifles in a lot of 200 Enfields found at "Ye Olde Hunter" in 1965. No brass i.d., but the other four had Japanese markings on their discs. Any thoughts on this? WW 11reissue and captures by the Japs?
