no - that is the US trainer winchester windermusket , i love that one a lot too - might be my favorite rifle , one of just over 11k made under contract to the US government , delivered in 1918-19 , its 22short only , is an early serial number , they were fitted with an adjustable lyman peep per spec ,

here are a couple more just for fun -

every one of these are either a 22cal or a converted 22cal , most of the converted remain what they were originally as well , i onle have one or two big bore conversions that could not be returned to original functioning items - notably my remington M1930A4gery which had gunsmith receiver issues when i converted it , my M1903 springfield which had barrel issues when i convereted it , and my colt 2nd gen 38/40 SAA that was factory converted to 22lr - it is my SASS side match revolver and one of two style point accoutraments , the other is the all original S&W top break mod 1 pocket pistol in 22short [sorry no phots yet]

this last photo is not one i took - it is the one sent to me for the M1922 i bought a good number of years ago , it is also a great shooting rifle ,

Alas, I only have two .22`s, the old Lakefield semi my father gave me before he passed, and my 1953 Ruger mk1 pistol, still a great shooter.

both worthy holdings , hold them dear ,

i started this adventure with wanting to replace the few i had as a kid that i had foolishly sold ..il refrain from explaining the stupid thinking that caused that - suffice it to say i rectified that later in life ,

once i had all those back i started looking for those 'i wanted' as a kid and could not afford , then i started picking up the items that were interesting and caught my eye , now im looking at buying items to rescue and save , not sure what will be next but since im reaching the end of my working life it will most likely stop soon , i think , i hope , i trust , i do love my 22s , and i have a lot of them , far more than ill ever post here ,

im hoping to complete the projects ive bought - you saw one of those pumps above , and get out and shoot these a bit in retirement , i have a stock of ammo to do that with , then pass them on to my heirs who will most likely not appreciate what they have received - oh well its only money and you cannot take it with you , but you can pass along our american heritage

Of all people, my wife just told me about an old, very old browning Trombone for sale just up the road from us. Might have to go have a look see.
If it`s in decent condition I might have to grab it, asking $350, but maybe its a rust bucket, a decent one will fetch nearly a grand.
I`ve emailed on condition, asked for an out of 10, 10 being excellent, I`ll wait for a reply before venturing out.

so i took this out to measure for a holster , the one im looking at will be too short , i think i may be looking for a custom made item , i have a couple sources that will do it for me per my request but , i will most likely never carry this more than a few times on special occassions , im trying to think through the novelty of it versus the cost , ive done this for other items but they were a little easier to rationalize , deep in thought ,

Well the guy made me an offer I couldn`t resist, so off I went again, and bought the old neglected trombone, got it for $275cnd, that`d be about $1.50 usd...lol.
I`ll try to do a decent r&r and see how it turns out.
Base on approx. production numbers/yr, the little gallery gun is roughly 1926-27ish.
