Just bought an M38, early m96 conversion CG 1915. Need to find a cleaning rod to make this fine ole rifle complete as issued, does anyone know if and where I could find one in Canada? Shipping from the US is pretty steep. Any info greatly appreciated.

Found a cleaning rod. Shot it today, 100yrds open sight 1.75" group, not bad for a fellow wearing tr-focal lenses Fun gun, if you never have owned or fired one, you need to. Enfields are fun and accurate, the swedes are pin point Precision if you`re steady enough. Cheers

Shiloh,
The Swedish rifles are the top drawer in my books. They are So accurate most of the time. One inch 100 yard groups are easy if you can see. I don't see like it did years ago, but these are still some of the very best. I had one with the brass dial added to the rear sight and it shot beautiful groups, and clobbered deer and moose very well. Used to hand-load with Norma #204 powder and Sierra 140 gr, or Nosler SB. and shots touching at 100 yards were common. All the best, Richard.

I hand load for my cg63, it`s awesome, a poor group with that gun is typically 1" at 100yrs, shot it today 3 3 round groups at 5/8" each. Also took the m38 along, S&B 140gr , still pretty good, shot 2 5 rounders, m.p.o.i. for ea was around 1-3/4 ish again. I`m happy with that. It`s rear sight also has the mirco meter dial adjustable, love that sight..

I use Hoadies 6.5 Jlungman 42B, I first got to shoot it years ago when The Wife and I went up to visit, it grouped awesome !!
Later I went up for a hunt with Hoadie, evening of the first day of our hunt I had a doe come down to my area, I think she was about 130 to 150 yards out, turned and started to walk away, she gave me a side shot. I hit her just behind the heart ! that 6.5x55 Swedish round is awesome !! She turned to the right and circled , dropped about 20 yards behind where I seen her first !
