I saw this and immediately said to myself. You have a 7.62 barrel and a L42A1 magazine, make it. 
A Charnwood No5Mk1 in 7.62x51mm.
This is very tempting to me...

Thats great..cept fer 1 thing...I can't hit nowt with my No5 now (others can) what wud happen if'n it was "upgunned"? (I'll be I'd be hittin houses 2 counties over!! )

The 2A1 barrel I have on my R.Y.N.O. MkII is cut to exactly 20". It shoots  fairly straight.
Cut the barrel down to 20" and that gives  you two complete spins of the bullet as it's leaving the rifle. The L42A1 magazine has that built in ejector tab. Its definitely temping... I will leave up to my fellow Enfield friends.  Do it or leave it alone...

I'd wait & see if it will eject, it seems not to have been remachined for the 7.62 one.

thats a late no 5 rifle FAZ quit soon after , mine is also FAZ AC prefix 10/47
