Hi fellow enthusiasts,
My Ishapore enfield chambered in 7.62 NATO has on the right side of the buttstock a symbol showing a circle containing the letter SA with an arrow pointing upwards between the two letters. Any thoughts about this marking will be appreciated.

All it is is the Indian property mark. The majority of Ishapore rifles have them.

Inspectorate of Small Arms marking.
Might not show well if stencil paint, but the arrow is actually an I with an arrow head above it.
