Took the 7.62x51 converted No5Mk1 to the range to see what it could do. Set the target at 50 yards for sighting in and adjustments.  First shot, never hit the target, second, third, fourth, fifth shot, and so on,never hit the target. The general consensus from a few fellow shooters was that I must have a bent barrel.  It was only after the range master stood behind me that we saw where the rounds were in fact hitting.  15 feet up  and 20 feet to the right, hitting the very top of the backstop berm. Packed up and went home. Disassembled the rifle and found the cause of the problem. The reproduction flash hider had a flaw inside of the cone where the barrel contacts with an overlap of metal directly inline with the bore. Every round fired was contacting that overlap and was being deflected up and to the right. The flash hider has been deburred of the overlap and reinstalled.  We will retest Wednesday.  I blame myself for not double checking my work initially after installing the flash hider the first time...

Wow! That's a big big deflection for just 50 yards! Good job figuring it out!

You're lucky they didn't go over the berm!

Goosic
Your lucky the misalignment etc of the flash hider did not cause a bigger problem.
I guess the old sayin check, check and then recheck, have a cup of coffee then check again.
Me That's what I do after a shotgun blew up on my father and he almost lost his sight.I was about 8 at the time. So safety in our house was a big thing.
Ps what loads are you using I have a couple of Mk5's I use them at the Anzac Day shoot.
I know what I like & like what I know.
