They sometimes need a little minor tweaking for the individual action, so don't be concerned if its not perfect right off the bat.

Between corona & Christmas rush both UPS & the USPS are screaming "delay" on a lot of stuff.

Well it only took 4 weeks to come priority.
But it fits, and works, as slick as butter.

It is a nice looking Maltby. Could you post some pictures of the inspections marks on the front left of the receiver and the stamps on the wrist under the trigger guard?

Those stamps aren't always the best to begin with so it's not unusual for them to be unreadable but I always have to ask. Thank you for posting the additional pictures to satisfy my curiosity.

Guess, finding a butt plate ,is becoming a challenge.
My gun Smith has been forgetting to bring them to the gun shop he works at on Saturdays. Then he went to Maine for a while. I just called to remind him to bring the butt plates tomorrow, he's not going to be there, he thinks he's got the Chinese virus.
Can't win.!!

Well I just checked the weather for tomorrow.
It's looking better than right now. Now the hight temperature for today is 27 degrees feels like 18 degrees with the breeze.
I just put my butt plate back on this rifle, stuck my new magazine in it. Hope to go to the range tomorrow
Hight temperature 30, don't know about the wind, try out the magazine, and see if this thing will group anywhere. Just tore my range bag apart looking for my
Sight adjustment tool, finely found it.
So I should be all set.

Klondike;

Never got out of the 20's today and it was very breezy.
Not going to the range in that weather. I would not make a good polar ranger.
