me either - my hands turn white in moments of exposure and i cannot feel my fingers or toes , one might ask why i stay in this climate  - yup im asking it myself , my grandkids so far

i am thinking i may leave it and never look back , between the winters and the politics , nothing is that good except the summer fishing that i might miss , but the i might like fishing south where i could still feel my fingers year round , im getting real close ........even if the rest of the family disagrees

A Square 10.
Everyone has 2 lives; and the second one starts the moment you realise that we only have one!

So move to better climates if you want to!

ill second that , thank you my friends for being my friends ,

im seriously lobbying my wife that i love dearly , i too am on my third and finally got a good one , im not closed minded at all about where i go but i hope to live long enough to live somewhere else , nothing happens quickly in my household but change is not a new thing here , for now im working on it ,

my wife has the idea that we should live in a mobile mode and move a bit more than my heart might desire - she likes being mobile , while i dont disagree we have not yet found the proper combination to make such a thing work , ill keep looking at this and other options ,

Took my maltby to the range, for a check to see if it could to holes on the same target.
32 degrees out 5- 10 mph winds
Only posted target at 45 yds.
Had 3 ppu 174 gr she!!s
Had 1/2 box of new rem.180 gr rn .
Made no sight adjustment, to cold to mess around.
Got the last 5 rounds pretty close. I think she will be ok. On a much nicer day. This furniture has lots of battle scars, that's whyI like it.[IMG]uploads/5006/20210113_122302_2021-01-13_19-45-08.

Going to get my sight adjustment tool out and tweak the front sight over, so next trip we start off closer.

I made a slight adjustment tool out of an old screwdriver, I chopped the end off with a dremel and then created the slot with a thicker cutting disk.
Works perfectly and I still have all my fingers, I made one for my father as well.

Need a taller front site, or good idea how to make a taller front site. Mine now is a .355. Have 3 other sites, all shorter.

Klondike, what rear sight do you have on your Maltby? It looks like the 300/600 yard battle sight.
It would be worth trying to get the adjustable "Singer" type sight.

I'll be trying out my 1944 Maltby when I can get to the 200 metre range. Covid is not making it easy at the moment.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!
