As we head to more shut downs I hope all the members and their family member are well and safe.

We have been lucky so far and everyone is well at this point. We did have a week of dining out after a fashion and I did get a haircut after four months. I felt so bad for the girl I tipped $10.

Still no range time and I thought I was recovering from multiple leg fractures on one leg but this weeks X-rays show a new fracture in the same foot. So again I'm down for the count to prevent a plate and screws. Range time is out till mid Feb.

So I'm back to cooking and using my new Japanese copy of a Serbian chef's knife made in China that took three weeks to get here on $6 shipping through six countries and four states. I made a marinated skirt steak and home made mashed potatoes.

Well folks keep on the sunny side of the street and keep your gear clean and your head down.

...........Wink..........

I hope you get over the fractures.  I know that pain all too well.  A few years ago I was in so much foot pain from a previous injury I had to have the ones all fused. I had/have no Cartledge in my foot at all.  I’ve got several screws still installed and was non weight bearing for 4 months.  Luckily that’s all healed up now and I can get back on with my life.

I’m always looking for new chef knives, do you have any links to the one you bought?

Stay safe, the range will always be there and you can use this time to build your ammo supply.  Ha

Hey MJ, is that photo before or after your haircut?? 😊

I tired letting my hair and beard grow, just can’t do it, drives me nuts.  Too many years in the military I guess.

As much as you are tempted, you better keep off that foot.  Have you got any reloading you can do?

I’m afraid we are heading for another lockdown.  Some states are going back in to lockdown now.  That vaccine can’t come too soon.

I don't know if you're a member but that knife is blasted all over F/B this last week.

It was the before hair cut picture.

The foot and leg will be what it will be. Mortar round shredded it pretty good a long time ago. My worry is why have the bones become so brittle in the last decade?

The style of kitchen knife could be a little thinner but I'm getting used to it. Was on sale for $49 shipped.

Good write up on FB by a guy who goes by, Between two Forks. He calls it what it is a knock off and give a location for the best pricing and better product.

I have some #3000 and #6000 Japanese honing stones and am sure a little TLC will provide an edge I can use. So far it works good on everything I have cut or diced.

Thank you.  I have not been on Facebook in a few years.  I may have to log on to find this knife.

Just use a search engine like google and you will be swamped with options.

hey my friend you gotta take better care , this gettin old aint for sissys and we aint no spring chickens any more ,

i can relate to the haircut - or lack there of , ive not cut the hair nor shaved since march 14th when i was furloughed from work , grandkids think i look like santa and the folks at the gunclub have started calling me an 'old' hippie , another month ill be able to pull it into a decent pony tail , when i get round to gettin it cut ill tip well too , but not thinking to do so till this BS is over ,
i did buy a beard trimmer if i decide to keep it , thought of cuttin my own hair like some friends are doing but never been very talented in that area , for now shades of late 60s and big difference is then it was black now its white [and a lot thinner on top] been looking for my old bandannas - probably went with the bell bottoms ,
