"Individual Integrated Fighting System" This was the system that briefly replaced ALICE & was soon replaced in turn by MOLLE in the U.S. service inventory.
More detailed info (what little seems to exist) here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Individual_Integrated_Fighting_System

It had the TLBV Tactical Load Bearing Vest, The ETLBV (enhanced version), a grenade carrying vest, & used the CFP-90 Field Pack that had a smaller Combat Patrol Pack, that piggy-backed onto the main one.

I'm trying to find someone who actually used this stuff as I'm tearing out what little hair I have left trying to work out how the "3-Day Training Pack" (aka butt pack, or fanny pack) actually attaches to the web belt ETLBV combo.Angry

I've figured out you use ALICE Clips to attach the bag to the pistol belt, as was done with the ALICE system, but what the hell do you use to attach the top fittings & where does it go?.

The pack has 20(ish)" straps, a Fastex type slider buckle & a "D" ring, but to attach these directly to the matching "D" rings on the vest you have to bend everything double & twist the heck out of it. I'm guessing I'm doing something wrong, or I'm missing some kind of accessory strap?Confused

You have any luck on this, Shamu? Just curious. This stuff brings back memories for me..... My first factory job as a teenager was sewing straps for the Load Bearing Vest. Long boring days of punching a counter after sewing each piece... Ooofta... Confused
