Coming out of hibernation for a bit to see if Spring is finally coming. Man it has been crazy bad where I am at but it looks like it is finally changing. I hope so since my snowblower broke down today. I think I have locked my 4 wheel drive in more this winter than I have ever locked one in before. All I have been doing is moving snow and going to work. Haven't had much time for anything else. Hope all of you have been well.

It is warming up here quite dramatically. In Celcius scale, this weekend is looking like 16C+ and next week 21-22C. Definitely a dramatic end to a wicked winter here (for the WET coast).

We're up to -2 :).

Busy this weekend, but hopefully I'll get to the range next week.

Hang on you guys, don’t give up hope, spring is moving north.  Been here for a few weeks already in the South East.  Temps this week were in the low 70s.

In my part of Manitoba, Canada, the last week has seen highs of 1 or 2C. Nice melting weather as we have a ton of snow. Lows are still in the minus teens. Can't wait to hit the range!

Bear, glad to hear that you've survived your first winter in your new home! Sound's like it was a tough one.
We are entering spring with a mix of sunshine and rain. We've got birds in the birdbox and I've serviced the lawn mower. First cut of the new lawn yesterday.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!

It got cool here again, but the green is every place !! the Oak trees have new leaves coming out the Cypress trees also , have not looked at the pecan trees yet , if they have leaves then the cold is over ... the water is up, Bayou Crab road is under water , The Wife and I went walk the Levee today, water is up on other side !!   Black berry is in full bloom, we walked the whole route around the house on the levee and through the woods....  Kind of chilly today, but we actually get a few 50-60 f days up till Easter !!  and then they go away !!  just wish we could get a couple of weeks of hard wind blowing south !!!   because when we came the=rough the woods , we checked out the Canal, and the water is moving in !! not good since its about 8 to 10 inches from coming over the low point in the levee !!

Yea, they are talking about opening the morganza again this time, sad thing is, we are already at level with the last time they opened it, and its not open now !!!   it looks like we may get flooded this time , .... you should see the yard across the street from me, they have water up to the door stoop , the guy has to use rubber boots to get into his work van !!! across the bridge on the right side of the road, Connie and Lewis's house is surrounded by about 5 to 8 inches of water already !! might have to get you a pair of rubber boots if you make it down in april ....LOL!!

my wife tells me she wants her camper out of storage this week - sure sign of spring in my house , she claims the long forcast is for 60s , but ill believe it when i see it , they cannot predict diddly-squat correctly , last year we had lots of snow in april and a full on blizzard at the end into may ,

i am sending lots of water south on the mississippi tho - get ready , i lost over half my  snow cover in last weeks rain [a good three feet ] and my sump pump started running over the weekend - running regular now - river is back in its banks even if running full , about four feet high which is normal this time of year , im in a major water shed here and its eight blocks off the mississippi , its coming south

Red Wing, Minn sure has a lot of flooding when the Mississippi River get high. Good Luck to all of those around the Mississippi River.  We have light rain and 56f at this time in Fla.

Army core wont help us!!  we had to pay for the levee and pump system we got .....The Po;ice Juror is who got this all rolling years ago. we were paing around $20 a person for a couple of years , then when the pumps were paid off it went down to just around $5 a person for the electricity use !! and thats divided up on a quarterly basis !  We have been trying to get him in here for the last 7 years to fix the low spots ...but this does not seem to happen near election time !!!
