shiloh: Why do you want to get rid of that butt stock assembly? Just curious. Where did you get that bipod and mount from, looks interesting.

Proof of concept, there are a few out there, mostly using cut down oem butt stocks, had my fun, time to free up some coin for other projects, 1903-08 BSA LE with volley sights, found one cheap-ish, if the fellow would get back to me...... Ermm
The bi-pod mount I made and is basically a barrel band with legs sticking out the front, 2 pinch bolts to clamp it. A brass spacer between those legs thickness of the attach point of the bi-pod(AK/SKS).
This set up allow the barrel to remain FF with zero interference.
shoot em if you got em

When compared to my CG63, not well, it averaged about 3-4.5" groups out to 100yrds, about the same with the battle sights.
Rapid fire proved even worse as the barrel heated up.
Ergonomically, awesome for holding on target.
Was it worth it?, at @$450 to built it was a fun project, at my asking price could be an affordable add-on for someone.
That kind of coin would go a long way towards restoring, a nice barreled action No1 or No4
shoot em if you got em
