Stop me if I'm wrong, but I just read an interesting article about the Knox form. Apparently, according to this article, it was actually names Nock's Form, after a family of 1800 and 1900th century of London gun makers called Nock.

Correct. Henry Nock gun maker.. Famous maker of the Nock Volley Gun, used for clearing the decks on ships!

And also the famed inventor of the lump on the barrel reinforce to allow a clamp to get purchase, the Nock's form.

Knox is a different dude. His claim to fame is that they named a fort after him

...I was told that there really isn't any gold to speak of there anymore..hasn't been for years.
Apparently, its spread around the countryside - alot being stored @ World Trade Center - for security. (Hmmm...how'd that work out?
