Man, I thought I had kinda got out of guns. Pretty much sealed the deal on a Parker Hale No 4 Mk1. Owner says he good it from the estate of a great uncle. It was wrapped in cosmoline and paper and never shot since purchased in the early '50's. I swapped a 1976 Ruger #1 .300 mag that was collecting dust in my gun safe. Some may say I got hosed, but I never use the magnum and love Enfield! I'll let the site know what it looks like when I get it! (It is a PH No 4 Standard. I do have a PH No 4 Deluxe that was my Dad's.)

i have always traded what i did not want and love for something i did - it was not so much about value as it was the caring ,

a safe queen could be an investment , but those are few and far between , i think you did OK , as long as you are happy ,

i once traded a civil war 1860 heavy cavalry saber for a polish 22 trainer - not for value or what it meant to me - it was what it meant to the young man that was willing to trade , he really wanted a civil war item , it was real , and it made him happy - he will be happy long after im gone ,
i am happy with my trainer rifle and i shoot it some , my heirs have no clue or care ,

good on you , enjoy ,

Deal is sealed! I got a Parker Hale Sportster No 4 standard, still wrapped in cosmoline and paper from a descendant of the original buyer on the way!! I'm keeping this beauty with open sights, and thinking of loading 180 or 215 gr Rn for a formidable 75-100 yd bush buster! Very excited!

..Cuz Sham took Rhino to the bar at the airport..& the place had no beer!
(Rhino & Sham had a "meet & Greet" on Rhino's way home from deer hunt here, in Nov.)
I suspect that Sham got beer after Rhino left. Ergo - Rhino's are empty

Its (sadly) twue its twue!
I met him in "Balmer" & the "Custom, Gourmet Brew Pub" had none, no, nada, zip brews, just "whatever was in a bottle". Being a resourceful pair of reprobates we suffered with Heiekins.

I would have gone without.

Damn shame Rhino didn't have any of his own brew left with him (he left it all here! )

Its funny but it brought back memories of my traveling days.
I sometimes miss the high speed low drag meetings at random locations.

"Its Thursday"!
"Really? I thought it was Wednesday!"
"Nope this is Belgium, if it was Wednesday it would be France"!
"OK, see you next Tuesday"!
"Yes, In Holland"!
