Thought I would share photos of this N0 4, Mk1 Sniper Transit Chest. I picked this up from a local yard sale shop back in June 2020. Seller stated it came out of an estate with a bunch of other rifles. Sadly, the family sold all of the rifles, so unsure if the rifle was included.

That's nice to have. Shame the rifle didi't come with it!
Were there any of the accessories inside?
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!

Thanks, Zed! Sadly, nothing found inside any of the compartments.

It's an interesting piece, that I had fun researching. I presently have it on display in my office; would look much better with a rifle!

I'm still looking for a good transit chest to put my rifle and goodies in.

Wow, an impressive collection of British & Commonwealth gear! That rifle looks mighty clean, as does the Webley. Thanks for sharing! I assume you collect general militaria outside of rifles and firearms? I mainly collect US items.

By the way, the Transit Chest is for sale. I have it listed here, but the post hasn't been approved yet as I haven't built up the 20-point prerequisite.

I just collected stuff for this rifle only. The revolver is a 1943 Enfield No2Mk1 38-200. I do have every bayonet produced for the No4Mk1 but that is it for collecting military items...

Clearly I'm a novice when it comes to British firearms. Should have assumed it was an Enfield, and not a Webley.

Sounds like you have an impressive collection.

Thanks! It was actually found in an antique co-op, but the place calls itself a yard sale shop. Basically a large, open building with multiple vendors.

Usually items are overpriced, but every so often you can find a decent deal. Keeps me coming back, looking for more!
