Not an Enfield, but manufactured by the Lithgow Small Arms Factory post WWII, and marketed under the Slazenger brand name.   SAF made a Model 1, Model 1A, and Model 1B, which were single shot, bolt action 22LR.  The Model 12 was a bolt action 22LR but had a 5 round magazine, and a "limited edition" 10-round magazine.  These magazines are as rare as hens teeth and I have not been able to determine if "aftermarket" alternates exist, or if anyone has had success modifying a more plentiful and less expensive magazine.  I recently acquired a model 12 (don't have it yet, it is being shipped from Oz), and would like to stock up on some additional mags as I plan to shoot it.    Appreciate your ideas or thoughts.

Rare as rainbow unicorns and rocking horse poo.
While I have one of the single shot versions [ a really nice little rifle and a very good kids training gun] I have never seen one of the repeaters for sale

I love the single shot bolt actions - fantastic for the kids.  Fun for the adults too, but....having a few rounds in the magazine is nice.  I once saw Model 12 for sale for $50 - beat up and clearly seen better days, I should have bought it just for magazine and some spare parts.   Sometimes I think "Should Have" is my middle name!

Keep an eye on the 10 shot magazines - some were marked "the Lionel Bibby magazine". Lionel and his son were famous crack shooters here in Aust and Lionel worked for Slazanger and had a lot of input into the design of the rifles. Those mags are worth a lot more.

I'll let you know when I get it and post a few photos.  The experimentation on the mags will be a little slower, like you time is a rare commodity.
