New member from Los Angeles.  Been shooting Enfields for just under 30 years and have past through this forum a fair bit over time and finally decided to join.

Down to just 2 Enfields now.  A 1942 Lithgow and a 1944 Long Branch.  Took my boy, who's home from school, to the range recently and let him clang some 100 yard plates.  Next week we'll stretch the legs a bit further.

Welcome from ATL, GA.

1944 Dominion Arsenal Mk 7 (cordite) ammo your shooting, can’t be much of that around these days. Berdan primed, not sure if it’s corrosive or not, but I would assume so.   Are the bullets silver coloured (cupronickel) or copper coloured (gilding metal)?

That was the last of my WWII ammo.  All copper.  None of it cupronickle.  I had a bunch of Iraqi ammo with those bullets I shot up back in the late 90's.  That was always good for an interesting range session.  Most of this last shoot was Dominion but also mixed in some war dated Radway Green and some Greenwood and Bately.  All of it shot well.  A few click bangs but nothing unexpected at this age.  Cordite and corrosive primers.  Boiling water and some work when I got home.

Still have one box of some POF ammo I probably won't shoot. My other ammo is 1970's Greek HXP and a couple of bandoliers of FNB from the 80's.

Big "HOWDY" from Texas!  I'd be keeping that Dominion Arsenal ammo as collectible and be shooting something else.  There's still some of that Greek HXP MkVIIz (ball powder, boxer primed) ammo around for $.70/round.  Good on ya for getting your boy involved in shooting sports.

I did keep some of the cases and some pulled bullets from the WWII bits.

Welcome from Paris France.
I have some WW2 ammunition, that is from a para shoot drop to the French Resistance, I have not shot any yet!
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice!
