The push to solidify the amendments was suspended in December. If allowed, it would have effectively disarmed Canada, leaving only a very few types of guns legal. All of bill c-21 needs to be scrapped.

It's a start. I'll take it as a small win in the never-ending fight to defend Canadians freedoms.

Well this is a victory of sorts. "
The Liberal government has withdrawn a series of controversial amendments to pending firearms legislation, Bill C-21, that some firearms owners say would have unfairly targeted hunters and farmers. Faced with fierce opposition from Conservative, NDP and Bloc MPs and firearms rights groups, Liberal MP Taleeb Noormohamed said Friday the government is withdrawing a long list of guns that would have been classified as "prohibited" as part of a push to ban "assault-style" weapons. The amendments, which were quietly tabled by a Liberal backbench MP in November, would have banned these weapons under the Criminal Code, rather than through regulation. That change would have made the prohibition much more difficult for future governments to reverse. The government is scrapping clauses that effectively would have banned any rifle or shotgun that could accept a magazine with more than five rounds — whether it actually has such a magazine or not. The government also intended to ban long guns that generate more than 10,000 joules of energy, or any gun with a muzzle wider than 20 millimetres — two rules that would have rendered many firearms illegal." |

I’m so thankful that when I left Canada, I landed in Georgia.
We have been able to keep a Republican government, with 300,000 votes over the Dems in 2022.
But if you ask the Dems, the election was stolen from Stacy Abrams twice now…even tho the changes to election law resulted in the highest number of votes cast EVER in Georgia and the Dems still cry voter suppression… So, this C21 amendment would have made ownership of a Lee Enfield illegal…wow! |

Yup it would have, basically every mag fed centre fire rifle regardless to its pedigree, even internal mag fed rifles with the exception of most tube fed centre fire rifles, which would have been next. We`ve lost hand gun sales and trade, only elites ie olympians and hunt guides can continue to buy and sell, Which to me is BS. So maybe the conservatives will reverse that.

If you think aboot it, Trudeau would be long gone if it wasn't for the NDP fool. You want to get rid of the Canadian Liberals gun control agenda forever? Get rid of gang crime in Toronto. Then it would all go away, in my humble opinion.

Next to our gov`t passing a shoot on sight law aimed at gangs and organized crime, it will never go away. Doing so would mean no grounds to disarm legal law abiding Canadians. Its a deep dark rabbit hole for sure; we need to sus out the black opps behind the scenes that`s actually pulling the strings. Canada is steeped in nefarious goings on....

There is always a root cause to every problem. Discovery that, eliminate it, problem goes away. If you got the guts to identify the root cause, which everyone already knows, then the problem is half solved. Liberals and NDP cannot and will not publicly say it as they would lose their voting base in the most populist cities... so they go after the farmer, hunter, or native Canadian to pretend they are taking a stand on firearms. I honestly think times have started to change and citizens are now willing to stand up for their rights. Let's hope the anti-woke movement continues!
